TABACALERA TABOLISA MODERNIZA Y AMPLÍA SUS INSTALACIONES

The Company Tabacalera Oliva de Estelí, SA-TABOLISA, dedicated to the manufacture of pure cigars for export, officially opened the doors of its facilities called TABOLISA 1, in a special opening ceremony on December 18, in the city of Estelí .

The occasion marked the end of a three-year project, which began in November 2016 with the start of the construction of the new facilities. In 2017 they finished the box factory, at the end of last year TABOLISA 2 and now the main factory TABOLISA 1. This project was designed with the aim of increasing the efficiency and capacity for the production of pure Oliva cigars.

Starting in 2020, TABOLISA 1 facilities will significantly increase its production capacity of Pure Cigars, although mainly these expansions also include health facilities for employees.

It will also allow to increase the capacity of the area of ​​the curing and fermentation processes of the leaf in a volume of 50 tobacco pylons to 100 pylons, space to increase the number of 30 to 80 employees in the area of ​​de-stemming, expand the area of packaging, the cold storage tank and the incorporation of new freezers, more space in the cigar aging room as well as the provision of a new 500 KW generator that takes the installation to its maximum capacity.

The cigars made by Tabolisa, S.A., are exported to the United States and Europe and have obtained international recognition by remaining in the top of the ranking of the best cigars in the world.

The National Commission of Free Zones participated in this celebration, very pleased by the confidence shown by national and foreign investors to continue investing in Nicaragua and the generation of greater sources of employment.
